Project Blush

We’re a student-run chapter working to make hygiene products easier to access in our community. Through drives, packing nights, fundraisers, and local partnerships, we bring everyday essentials to the people who need them.

About us

We make hygiene more accessible.

Project Blush is a student-led nonprofit that collects and distributes hygiene products like soap, toothpaste, deodorant, pads, tampons, and other everyday essentials. The TJ Chapter brings that work to our own community. We run drives, pack hygiene kits, fundraise, and partner with local schools, shelters, and organizations to get products where they’re needed. The goal is simple: help people feel clean, confident, and cared for.

Our mission

Pack & distribute

We organize donation drives and pack hygiene kits with pads, tampons, toothbrushes, soap, and deodorant. The goal is to get products to people who actually need them, including local shelters, women’s centers, nonprofits, and Title I schools in Fairfax County.

Educate & destigmatize

We talk about women’s health, period poverty, and hygiene stigma through short podcast episodes, Instagram posts, Reels, blogs, and YouTube videos. Each episode focuses on a different issue affecting women and girls, with student-led conversations that feel honest instead of preachy.

Build community

We run fundraisers, bake sales, and school events to raise money for shelters and women’s centers. Project Blush is a club, but it’s also a way for students to show up for people in our community in a real, practical way.

The podcast

real talk, real care

Every other Thursday, two Project Blush officers talk about a different issue affecting women and girls: hygiene access, mental health, body image, confidence, school stress, self-care, and how basic products can make a bigger difference than people think.
